Why Counselling?
I’m sure we would agree that as beautiful as life is, it also brings its fair share of pain and challenges, and in those moments, we can feel overwhelmed and even lose hope. When things feel confusing or we find ourselves stuck, often because of past experiences, it can be hard to navigate alone.
That’s when counselling can offer a safe and supportive space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours in the context of your life. Through this process, self-awareness grows, helping you move toward healing and a life that feels more authentic, meaningful, and fulfilling.
About Hope Harbour
Therapy with me is about you, your story, your goals, your pace, and it is customised to suit your needs. As a therapist, I believe that when we are open to self-understanding, exploring, and clinging to hope, healing becomes possible. My aim is to walk with you toward emotional wellness, inner peace, and a fresh sense of hope.

Services
Individual
Each session is shaped around you, your worries and challenges, your goals, your speed. Aiming to give you support and understanding as well as tools.
Together, we’ll gently explore both past and current experiences, working side by side to support healing, rekindle hope and take meaningful steps toward a more fulfilling time to come.
couples
When we work together in couples therapy, I help you both to open up communication, rebuild trust, and deepen your connection.
I create a safe, neutral space where you can explore conflicts, rebuild trust, and bring back connection.

Accessing in-person counselling isn’t always practical, but that shouldn’t be a barrier to support. Whether due to travel, location, work, caregiving, or personal preference, sessions can be arranged in a way that suits your circumstances and comfort.
THE ROOM
For face-to-face sessions, I offer a warm and comfortable therapy room with off-road parking. The space is located in Bedhampton, midway between Portsmouth and Chichester, and is easy to access from surrounding areas.
Fees and Availability

'No matter what therapeutic approach is provided, if the relationship between therapist and client is not established or is perceived by the client as problematic, then it is unlikely that the therapy will be successful'
- Dr Val Thomas,
I offer a free initial 50 minute session because I believe that the connection between therapist and client is essential. This session gives you an opportunity to experience my approach and decide whether it feels like the right fit for you.
